This Week at APSU: Latinx Heritage Month Kick-off coming Wednesday

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) will kick off a monthlong celebration of Latinx Heritage Month with free food and music on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Morgan University Plaza (MUC).
The event will be hosted by the Latin Community Resource Center (LCRC), which has events planned through mid-October.

Clarksville, TN – A Gov is going to Poland’s prestigious Jagiellonian University in Krakow at the end of September. Nicholas Herrud, a recent Austin Peay State University (APSU) history graduate and Spring Hill, Tennessee, native, will begin his Master of Arts focusing on Polish studies.

Clarksville, TN – Dr. Somaditya Banerjee, history professor at Austin Peay State University (APSU) went to London, England, in May to accept the Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award.
The Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Welfare Society of India presented Banerjee the award May 20th, 2019 at the House of Commons during the NRI World Congress.
APSU student Sara Alexander receives exchange scholarship to German university

Clarksville, TN – Sara Alexander, an Austin Peay State University (APSU) graduate student recently received an award to attend one of the oldest and most highly ranked universities in Europe this summer.
Alexander, who is finishing up a master’s in history and a master’s in teaching, will attend Germany’s Heidelberg University in August.
