Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University music performance graduate student Emmanuel Mejeun’s dedication to helping other students succeed in the classroom was recently recognized as he received Certified Learning Center Professional – Level 2 certification through the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA).
APSU’s Martin Golson elected as Vice President of National Learning Center Organization

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Director of the Academic Support Center Martin Golson was recently recognized as a leader among his peers in the learning center community when he was elected to serve as vice president of the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA) for the 2017-18 year.
“If you’re working in a learning center, the NCLCA is something you should be a part of, because we certify professionals working in learning centers and learning centers themselves that promote standards of excellence,” Golson said. “I’m very fortunate to have been chosen by my fellow members (as vice president).”

Clarksville, TN – The Academic Support Center at Austin Peay State University exists for one reason: to help students achieve their educational goals. And it is with that in mind that the Center’s director, Martin Golson, was recently honored for his excellence in helping students succeed in the classroom.
Golson was recently honored as a Certified Learning Center Professional – Level 4 by the National College Learning Center Association (NCLCA), a national organization that supports learning center professionals in developing and enhancing their efforts at the post-secondary level.
APSU to offer Tutoring to the Community

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University is now offering one-on-one tutoring to the general public through the University’s Academic Support Center. Sessions are $15.00 an hour and are held in the Writing Center, located on the main floor of APSU’s Woodward Library.
The tutors, who are APSU students, offer assistance in their fields of study and cover a wide variety of topics, with extensive offerings in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas. [Read more]
