Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Saturday, September 17th, at Heritage Park Soccer Fields for this month’s Movies in the Park event, featuring the 2006 computer-animated comedy film, “Open Season”. It is rated PG.
The movie will begin around 7:15pm, with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available.

“The Wizard of Oz” wins people’s choice movie

Clarksville, TN – After months of collecting votes, Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the final movie of the 2011 season and the people’s choice movie winner – “The Wizard of Oz”. The movie will be shown Saturday, October 8th.
This year’s season of Movies in the Park inaugurated a new People’s Choice night where the public nominated movies they wanted to see. After the nomination period was over, the voting began. The movie with the most votes won.

The Bucket List is directed by Rob Reiner and features Jack Nicholson, and Morgan Freeman; backed up by Sean Hayes, Beverly Todd, Rob Morrow, Alfonso Freeman, Christopher Stapleton, Ian Anthony Dale, Richard McGonagle, and Lauren Cohn. All movies start at dusk with pre-show activities beginning an hour prior. Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs. When corporate mogul Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) and mechanic Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) wind up in the same hospital room, the two terminally ill men bust out of the cancer ward with a plan to experience life to the fullest before they kick the bucket. Clarksville, TN – On Saturday July 9th the Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation held Movies in the Park featuring the Kevin Costner hit Field of Dreams. Around 100 people gathered on the grass at Heritage park to enjoy the outdoor movie, fortunately the current heatwave had not yet hit our area.
