Clarksville, TN – The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is located in historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Come explore an entire city block featuring large gallery spaces filled with fine art, science and history.
Some of the events in February at the Museum are: The Nature of Things: Alison & Frank Lyne, Dane Carder: The Healing Game, The Photography of Nathan Collie, Matthew Deric Gore: Setting the Stage, Twentieth Anniversary of the Tornado and Hands-on Activities: Build a Toothpick Structure.

Austin Peay State University takes a look back 20 years at the1999 Tornado

Clarksville, TN – Twenty years ago, on January 22nd, 1999, a powerful E3 tornado ripped its way across the Austin Peay State University (APSU) campus, causing millions of dollars in damages that, according to the Tennessean, resulted in “The largest single property loss in state history.”
Downed trees littered the APSU campus following the 1999 tornado.

2nd Annual Community Messiah Sing to be December 17th

Clarksville, TN – Area vocalists are invited to sing in a community choir presentation of the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah at Madison Street United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 17th, 2017 at 7:00pm.
The event is free and open to the public.

Documentaries Exploring Clarksville’s Past, Present, and Future to be shown at Roxy Regional Theatre

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville/Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council and Roxy Regional Theatre will present during the month of September a series of six videos exploring people and events from Clarksville’s past, present and future.
The series will take place in the Roxy theatre on Sundays and Tuesdays and was made possible by a placemaking grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. The showings are free and open to the public.
The videos run about 30 minutes and community members are encouraged to join in the discussion afterward exploring Clarksville’s unique character and how to maintain and enhance a strong sense of place in its citizens.
Documentary on the 1863-1890 diary of Clarksvillian Nannie Haskins Williams will be held Sunday, September 4th.
