The theme, “A Night of Roundup,” will pay tribute to APSU alumni gatherings of the past through a menu of pork chops and fixings.

The meal will be prepared by a new generation of master grillers including: Thomas Durrett, Price Hopson, Daniel Binkley and Wesley Golden. This year’s event will also include live entertainment by Music for Mercy, a band featuring several APSU faculty and staff members.

“We are excited to continue the traditions of the prestigious Tower Club through this event,” Kris Phillips, assistant vice president for APSU University Advancement said. “These community members are truly invested in the prosperity and notoriety of APSU as well as the Clarksville community.”

The purpose of the group is to assist the President in funding special initiatives that are not provided for within the University’s annual budget. The yearly celebration was initiated by the 80 charter members of the Tower Club when they established the group in December 1958. The Tower Club was the first private support organization created for APSU.

“Austin Peay is proud to recognize the 60 years of service that this organization has given to our campus,” APSU President Alisa White said. “Many important initiatives such as student research opportunities and faculty and staff development would not have been possible without their support.”

Tower Club membership dues go directly to the President’s Fund of Excellence, with a small portion covering the cost of the club’s annual dinner. Membership in this organization will ensure that its legacy of support continues for generations to come. To learn more or join the Tower Club, please visit http://alumni.apsu/towerclub
