Jerry Allbert, director of MC Parks and Recreation said, “It feels like we were here a just a few weeks ago celebrating the opening of Phase 1. I’m proud of what these students have done and grateful to the CMC Community Health Foundation for their investment into the citizens.”

The disc golf project began in August 2015 with completion of Phase 1 in November 2016. Some of the Clarksville Academy students who started in 2015 were at the ribbon cutting to experience the completion of the entire project. Students Morgan Crowley, Stone Norris and Eldon Ritenour are all seniors who have participated in the project since its inception.

Norris said, “It’s a pretty cool thing to see because when we started out we weren’t sure it could be accomplished. We thought maybe we’d squeeze in nine holes out here but to see 18 holes with two baskets each is a cool accomplishment for us to have.”
