F&M Mortgage Receives Statewide Recognition from THDA and USDA Rural Development
Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) has recognized F&M Mortgage as one of its top five lenders statewide for the second year in a row. In addition, the USDA Rural Development has recognized the organization with its Premier Lender Award for outstanding loan production in rural Tennessee communities.
This was the second year in a row that F&M has been recognized by Rural Development, receiving its Main Street award in 2010.
F&M Bank is on track to top $500 million in mortgage originations in 2012, according the president and CEO, Sammy Stuard — a 30% increase over the $384 million in home loans they generated in 2011.
“At the end of the first quarter 2012, F&M originators had closed $109.2 million in home loans, compared to $75.2 million in 2011,” remarked Stuard. “With spring and summer being typically strong home buying months, we are highly optimistic about the next six months, and record setting mortgage loan growth for 2012.”
Another reason for F&M to be optimistic centers around the opening of a new mortgage operation in Davidson County and the hiring of top home loan producer, Billy Winfree, to manage the new Green Hills office.
F&M Mortgage is a division of F&M Bank, one of the top 15 largest independent bank in Tennessee. F&M operates mortgage and banking operations in Davidson, Williamson, Maury, Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner, Montgomery, Putnam, Robertson and Stewart counties.
