Devotional from Brother Shepherd for November 27th
Written by Brother Shepherd
I’m always intrigued by the story of Jesus as a boy in Luke 2. In the latter part of that chapter we find that Joseph and Mary have taken Jesus to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover Feast.
The scriptures tell us that Jesus was 12 years old. After the Feast was over, Joseph and Mary were traveling back home with their kinsman and acquaintances and they found they had left Jesus in Jerusalem.
They turned around to go look for Him. As they searched for Him they found Him in the temple. In verse 49 of this chapter we read, And He said unto them, “How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”
Even at the early age of 12 Jesus was about His heavenly Father’s business. God’s word tells us that when we are born again we become the children of God. So, I ask my question today. Am I about my heavenly Fathers business today?
This is Bro. Shep asking you to think about this.
