Roxy Tradition Endures with Holiday Favorite “A Christmas Carol”
John McDonald, as Ebenezer Scrooge, meets the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future while rediscovering the true meaning of the holiday in the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol”, opening Friday, November 25th, at 8:00pm.
“A Chrismas Carol” opens Friday, November 25th, with “Toys for Tickets,” during which patrons can bring new, unwrapped toys in exchange for admission. Tickets will go on sale at 7:30pm, and donated toys will go to less fortunate children through Q108 radio’s toy drive. This is the Roxy Regional Theatre’s fifth year to partner with Q108 on their “Q Cares for Kids” toy drive.
The performance on Thursday, December 8th, is part of “Christmas Over The Cumberland,” in which patrons will enjoy a holiday dinner with Santa at F&M Bank’s Franklin Room at 5:00pm, followed by “A Christmas Carol” at the Roxy at 7:00pm. This special evening is presented by Jimmy and Lena Orgain, F&M Bank and the Roxy Regional Board of Directors. Tickets, which are $50.00, are 100% tax deductible, and all proceeds benefit the new Center for Arts and Education.
“A Christmas Carol” runs November 25th through December 17th, playing selected Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:00pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, with 2:00pm matinees on Saturday, December 10th, and Saturday, December 17th. There are no performances on Wednesday, November 30th, and Thursday, December 1st.
Tickets are $20.00 (adults) and $15.00 (ages 13 and under) and may be purchased online at www.roxyregionaltheatre.org, by phone at 931.645.7699, or at the theatre during regular box office hours (9:00am – 2:00pm, Monday – Friday).
